Born seven minutes after her twin brother, Adele St. Martin seemed to be a near perfect mix of her parents most distinguishing qualities. Even from a young age, she had her mother's good looks and theatrical talent and her father's perfectionist tendancies, a keen eye for style, and the appreciation of beautiful clothes. Of course, with the good came the extremely bad - a dramatic flair, an heir of superiority and possibly more than anything, a stubborn streak that proved impossible to miss. Often described as spirited but difficult, Adele has always known what she wanted and has never been afraid of beinig vocal enough to get it. As a child, she fancied herself a ringleader, bossing around her little friends, instructing them in the games that she most wanted to play. It was an attitude her father supported, eyeing her already as his predecessor to a fashion empire. But that dream ended quickly the first time Adele took the stage in a private school production, taking it far more seriously than any of her young classmates. Before long her mother had taken over her extracuriculars, pushing her into acting classes and aligning her with the best acting and vocal coaches that money could buy. By eight years old, the move had already begun to pay off, landing Adele a spot on an Off-Broadway show as an understudy.

But for the young, budding actress, understudy was not quite good eough. Though she adored the time spent backstage and behaved as a true professional, despite the long hours between school and nightly shows, Adele only grew in her need to prove herself, seeing understudy only as second place and resenting the implication that she wasn't quite the best. Raquel only agreed, pushing her ever harder. Her turn in theater lead to a couple small film roles, but eventually her short run came to a fizzled end and Adele focused herself intently on school, happy to be by her twin's side, studying acting while he drifted to music.

High school was a comfortable environment for Adele and she had no trouble involving herself in a wide array of clubs and activities, though the drama department felt most like home to her. Both from her own talent and her mother's behind the scenes help (most often in the form of sizable donations) Adele starred in many of the school's productions, demanding only the best from her classmates and especially her leading men. Her high school career was peppered with accomplishments, precisely the transcript you'd expect to see from an upper east side girl with the world at her finger tips. During this time she also took to modeling, not to please her father, though it did, but because she knew it was a way to get her face out there, already planning for her return to the entertainment industry.

El and Remy had grown up extraordinarily close, as she assumed most twins do, the oldest in a large and ever growing family, she often thought of her twin as her partner in crime. But for a brief time upon graduating, Adele wanted almost more than anything to be accepted in her own right, not as half of a whole, but as her own talent. While Remy chose Columbia, their mother's own university, Adele accepted admission to Stanford, believing that only space could help them to grown on their own. But California was vastly different from New York, and though she had traveled extensively with her family growing up, living away from home was not what she was expecting, and quite frankly, it wasn't long before she realized it wasn't what she wanted. The acting department was enjoyable, but Adele simply felt that she wasn't herself without Remy close by, or her mother, for that matter. And so before her first semester at Stanford was even finished, Adele was auditioning for a spot at Julliard in their Drama department.

Though her time away had been brief, the move back to New York was a welcome one to Adele. New York City was home, and in her eyes, the only city worth rivaling Paris to live in, anyway. And Julliard was an even better fit than she had imagined. The intense Drama program suited her perfectly, pushing her to an even higher standard than she held for herself. By the time she was ready to graduate, she had done what she had set out to California to do, had made her own connections in the industry and had set a course for herself for her next steps in returning to the stage. An offer to work in a show on the West End greeted her, and though she had missed New York badly the last time she had left for a period of time, Adele decided it was too exciting an opportunity to pass on, and after grueling auditions, packed her bags and accepted the role of Cordelia in King Lear for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Since, Adele has continued to build on her stage work, continuing in plays, including the Broadway debut of Venus in Fur, which saw her awarded with a Tony. Most recently she has found herself moving toward film roles, leaning toward smaller roles in more dramatic projects. Always the high achiever, her sights are now set to find a role that will earn her critical acclaim in film, as well.
