biography

Born the only child to Janine Collins, famed director, and Desmond Cabret, film producer and studio executive, Avery was raised namely by a nanny, often being shuffled between film sets and offices. She wasn't born with a silver spoon, she was gifted a platinum one. But Avery wasn't exempt from the rich girl trope, of having everything she wanted but her parent's attention and approval. That desire was the main drive into acting, she'd use the platform to catch their eye and if she couldn't, at least she'd have the attention of everyone else to make up for it.

Though her goal was always to be known worldwide, even to Avery her rise to fame was astonishing. Though she'd been working for years it seemed like people learned her name almost overnight. In a whirlwind she was nominated for an oscar and stepping into lead roles in not one but two huge franchises. The Hunger Games took off, she met David O. Russell, and before she knew it she was an Academy Award Winner. Life hasn't slowed down since, which is exactly how Avery likes it.

Her fame would have come much quicker if she had been successful at her audition for Twilight, years before The Hunger Games. However, she was passed for the role and in the years since has been incredibly thankful things didn't turn out that way. Avery wants to be known, but the level of insanity surrounding the Twilight phenomenon is something she's glad to have missed out on.

Avery had has a number of public relationships, most notably with Jackson Lucas when she was beginning The Hunger Games. Though the relationship was actually an agreement set up by a shared publicist, real feelings got involved and life became even more complicated when Jackson was caught with another girl. Since, she's been in a relationship with a co-star, the man who plays Finnick in The Hunger Games, Cary, and the two balance each other out surprisingly well.

Well known for her films, Avery is also wildly adored by fans for her spitfire personality. The fact that she is willing to tell it like it is and speak her mind, mixed with being spectacularly spoiled, often leads to amusing interviews and quotes. She truly doesn't want to be or seem haughty, and sometimes even embarrasses herself with her lingering ignorance, but that usually only leads to more jokes and gifs. She can be problematic, but people love her for it.
